Pennsylvania, USA --- Today, on the 4th anniversary of the launch of the STEP Forward Life Institute, Chris and Carol Green announced a new emphasis and focus for their online LIFE-education platform.
"We wanted to do a better job of communicating the true purpose for this online teaching ministry," explains Chris and Carol Green. "So we have shifted from merely talking about WHAT we can offer, to pushing forth WHY and HOW a student will benefit from enrolling in a STEP Forward course."
The STEP Forward Life Institute introduced a new slogan and caption:
Equipping Believers for Kingdom Servantship*
"We came to realize that our students simply desired to minister to their families, strengthen their faith, or serve in their communities," the Greens revealed. "It's not a popular message, but it is an absolute reality that everyone isn't assigned to corporate, organizational, institutional or ministry leadership roles; However everyone is called to servantship. So we're going to be a lot more intentional about promoting our mission to equip and prepare them be Kingdom-minded Servants."
Servantship signifies the condition or state of being a servant, essentially meaning the act of serving others. It can also be used to refer to servanthood. In a leadership context, servantship emphasizes prioritizing the needs and well-being of others, often with humility and a focus on service over personal gain.
*Kingdom servantship, in a Christian context, refers to the concept of embracing a life of service and humility within the Kingdom of God, mirroring the example of Jesus Christ. It's about prioritizing the needs of others, demonstrating humility, and allowing love to guide actions, reflecting the heart of Jesus. This principle emphasizes that true greatness in the Kingdom is found through serving others, not seeking to be served.
"Our students don't merely watch video lectures, memorize information, and pass quizzes and examinations," the Greens added, "Now we are boldly encouraging them to embody the Greatest Commandment and we're equipping them to fulfill the Great Commission. They will be able to minister with confidence knowing God is their source, that experience is their study, that faith is their evidence, and Service is their credential."
The STEP Forward Life Institute had already been in the works for 16 years before the Greens officially launched it in April of 2021. They had amassed over 1500 video recordings, established a sizeable video archive/ library, built a YouTube channel, created over 20 Vimeo channels, and written several books. This couple has been in the trenches, teaching and preparing Believers for ministry service, for over 20 years in south central Pennsylvania, across the United States, and around the world.
"We believe we were being prepared all along to provide this tangible and digital way to strengthen, equip and empower God's people to do effective works of service in their families and communities," Chris and Carol Green concluded, "We believe this is our true role and calling."
