Celebrating Anniversary of First Audio Songbook Launch

Pennsylvania, USA - Chris and Carol Green are celebrating the anniversary of the launch of their first audio songbook. One year ago today, after more than 20 years of stepping away from writing/ recording songs in order to focus on their ministry/ community work and book writing, Chris and Carol Green resurfaced as new-era songwriters with a 14 -track journey of love based upon their life in marriage, ministry, and mentoring other couples.

"A year ago we simply wanted these songs to help couples to recapture the mystery that led them to the altar," shares Chris, "And we hoped it would inspire them to cherish the priceless moments since that day."

With the discovery that they could upload their original song recordings from over two decades ago, onto an A.I. (artificial intelligence) music platform and meticulously recreate them with powerful music and vocals, a whole new world was opened to them. Chris worked with this collaborative tool, providing detailed instructions and creative prompts, and it resulted in these amazing productions.

"We had buried the songs in the past and moved on," explained Chris, "This new technology gave us the opportunity to finally reproduce the songs the way we originally heard them, but with a much more professional sound."

However, and most importantly, Chris and Carol saw this as the beginning of a Family Legacy Songbook series, and as a way to pass their family's calling, purpose and mission on to their children and grandchildren. Their goal was to leave a legacy for their family and generations to come in the same way that King David left a blueprint and songs for the next generation that would later build the temple. "My mom passed away in September of 2024," Chris reveals, "Working on these old familiar songs helped me to process my grief. I cried and worshiped a lot because she left us a legacy to simply love God and be faithful to Him. Carol and I found a way to embrace and carry forth her legacy and our family's mandate to future generations." The Greens readily admit that their audio songbooks are filled with primarily old school R&B and nostalgic smooth jazz generes; but the beauty of music is that, many of the old styles eventually come back around. This couple sees this as an opportunity to use their songs in a very strategic way. "We didn't reengage these songs because of some misguided fantasy to have some kind of boomer-aged music career," the Greens assert, "We're not trying to revive the old days like those artists who can't let go of the past. Music, as a career, has never been a desire for us. We are simply songwriters who've been blessed to set poetry to music. Through this 'new wine skin' God is fulfilling our desire to pass these songs on to the next generation. They may not listen to it right now, but when the time comes, it will be here for them."

To prepare for this special anniversay, Chris remixed and revised their Love Song Audio Songbook and it's available for free listens as always.
