Chris and Carol Green Release 3rd Family Legacy Music Project: Vintage

Pennsylvania, USA - With the third of their seven-album Family Legacy Project, Chris and Carol Green announced that their latest project: Vintage, is officially live on their website.

"Vintage" is a 22-track collection of the most-requested songs by family, friends and followers of Chris and Carol Green over the last 30+ years. These tunes, which span from 1990 through 2005, feature prophetic songs that speak to the issues of life, love, marriage and our relationship with God; all of which were written and presented in the uniquely poetic styles of the Greens. *Vintage" generally refers to something old, but still valuable or of high quality, especially when it reflects a particular style or era.

"It's About Legacy"

More than 20 years after stepping away from writing/ recording songs in order to focus on their domestic missionary work/ community service and book writing, Chris and Carol Green have resurfaced as songwriters/ producers with seven Family Legacy Song Releases based upon their life in marriage, ministry, mentoring, and moving (by God's grace) through the messy parts of life. With the discovery that they could upload their original song recordings from over two decades ago, onto an A.I. (artificial intelligence) music platform and meticulously recreate them with powerful music and vocals, a whole new world was opened to them. Chris worked with this collaborative tool, providing detailed instructions and creative prompts, and it resulted in these amazing productions. "We had buried the songs in the past and moved on," explained Chris, "This new technology gave us the opportunity to finally reproduce the songs the way we originally heard them, but with a much more professional quality of sound." However, and most importantly, Chris and Carol see this Family Legacy Song series as one way to pass their family's calling, purpose and mission on to their children and grandchildren. Their goal is to leave a legacy for their family and generations to come in the same way that King David left a blueprint and songs for the next generation that would later build the temple. "My mom passed away in September of 2024," Chris reveals, "Working on these old familiar songs helped me to process my grief. I cried and worshiped a lot throughout the project because the songs reminded me that she left us a legacy to simply love God and be faithful to Him. Carol and I found a way to embrace and carry forth that legacy and our family's mandate to future generations." The Greens readily admit that their songs are "old school", but the beauty of music is that, like fashions and fads, the old styles eventually come back around. This couple sees this as an opportunity to use their songs in a very strategic way. "We didn't reengage these songs because of some misguided fantasy to have a music career," the Greens assert, "We're not trying to revive the old days because we can't let go of the past. Music through performing arts, as a career, has never been a desire for us. We are simply parents and poets who've been blessed to set our poetry to music. Through this 'new wine skin' God is fulfilling our desire to pass it on to the next generation. They may not understand all of it right now, but when the time comes, it will be there for them." This entire 7-album (112-tracks) project is coming forth just in time because families across the United States and the world are struggling and recovering from a disaster-filled year, and this is a wonderful resource for inspiring worship, reflection and healing with Biblically-based words of hope, encouragement, comfort and wisdom wrapped in songs. "The first song on the very first album is titled 'Spend My Life With You' and the final song on the seventh album is 'It's Been Worth It.' " The Greens conclude. "In between those two love songs is a journey that gives glory and honor to the almighty God and His son, and our King and savior Yeshua (aka Jesus) the Christ (messiah)."
